I've been teaching for 31 years and have always tried to find ways to make "guided reading" work, and I've felt that I'm not reaching my students often enough with this method. I'm looking forward to implementing some of your strategies! I was wondering if you have a sample time table that could be shared? Do you used the "Daily 5" Method at all?Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01591595557211571378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7267682090689767325.post-9598713442387928402017-11-27T18:57:43.030+00:002017-11-27T18:57:43.030+00:00Hi

If you look at the plans, you'll see we started with 20+ words per chapter but this became around 10 as we started teaching with the new approach. We don't feel we've lost anything by reducing how many RICs we do. Children have been doing them for years and so now we only use them when there is meaty content to be discussed.
I hope this helps.
JoJo Paynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09244035112356402105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7267682090689767325.post-51621359270027040472017-06-04T12:48:39.591+01:002017-06-04T12:48:39.591+01:00Could I ask if you start this in year 2 or eyes?
